MTB racing for U16's

As Go-Ride Coaches, we want to identify any members who are interested in trying out MTB racing or developing their current experiences.
There are many reasons for this:-
  • Its great fun
  • Riders born in the years 1996-99 could have the opportunity to be selected for the British Cycling Central Region MTB team.
  • They can also be nominated for British Cycling's Regional School of Racing sessions that are held locally throughout the year.
  • And all this can lead on to National competitions if selected for the Central Team.
However, if your born from 2000 onwards, there are still races to get involved with and experience to be gained before you reach that age.
We want to start off by seeing how many riders are interested in the Black Park MTB races on Sunday 4 March. http://www.xcracer.com/raceentry/viewevent.php?event_id=224   There are races from U10's upwards and as its quite local (Denham area) we hope there will be a good turnout.  Myself and other coaches will be there to assist and ride the course prior to the races with those competing and we will be holding a racing training session in Ashridge on Saturday 25 February for all those that are interested.  Usual time 10-12noon.
Please let me know if you want to get involved.  Also if you are doing any other races such as the Gorricks, let me know how you get on as we want to get a better idea of who is really keen on progressing.
