- Summit Go-Ride Autumn Classic
This weekend is our annual race day: the Summit Go-Ride Autumn Classic. It is the biggest day on the Summit Go-Ride calendar and we are again expecting more than 100 racers from several clubs to take part.
We will have age categories from U6 to U16 with medals and prices in each category for both male and female riders. Sign on and practice starts fromwith the first races going off from .
We have limited places, so pre-registration is essential and we close entries in categories as they fill up.
A separate consent form is required for Go-Ride race events and you can get a copy and register if you haven't already done so by emailing Tim at
Payment on the day is £5 for all categories. This money goes directly into equipment and trail maintenance.
As usual, make sure your child's bike is in good order. We will have a mechanic on hand on the day to help sort out small issues but don't expect him to conduct a full service or rebuild your hubs. In particular, check that the headset is properly adjusted and that the bottom bracket is not loose or creaking.
Lastly, as always, make sure your child's helmet is properly adjusted and she/he has no loose clothing or shoe laces that might get caught on the bike or chain. While we are not expecting rain, do bring a wet weather jacket and expect some mud on the race course.
