Ashridge Go-Ride - 5 April

HHCC Ashridge Go-Ride Saturday 5 April 2014

This is a two hour trail ride for ages 8+ lead by qualified British Cycling Coaches and we split into ability groups. Please meet at the first carpark on the left up monument drive by 9.45am to register and be ready to ride for 10am. The ride will finish at 12noon. Postcode if you havent been there before is HP4 1LT.
Please make sure you bring a drink and snack, helmet and gloves. Can you also please take a few minutes before coming to check the rider’s helmet fits properly and the bike is in good working order. Riders should be using a mountain bike or a hybrid fitted with gears and treaded tyres. Please make sure there is no loose clothing or shoe laces that could be caught on the bike.
Dont forget it is important that you are a member of HHCC or Summit MTB to attend these rides.
Please can you let me know in advance if you are attending and provide a contact number for the day.
Clare Muir, Go-Ride Coach,

Summit MTB Go-Ride is growing....
Summit MTB Go-Ride has decided to set up a closed Facebook group for older riders and parents of younger riders. We know that many of you ride as a family aside from the coached sessions and trail rides that Summit delivers, and we thought.... what better than making a place where parents and young riders can team up and ride together. So, if you are going out for a gentle potter around the lanes, or a full-on race-paced evening-ride, or even a camping/biking weekend - and would like to invite other Go-Riders along, feel free to post them to the group and make contact. Hopefully it will be a great way to get to know each other better, gain skills and fitness and just generally have cycling fun, whilst also discovering new trails and routes.
Obviously it goes without saying that Summit MTB cannot be held responsible for what happens on these parent-led rides so it would be a great idea to invest in some British Cycling Membership (various levels available) that provide third party insurance and legal cover should any accidents (let's hope not) happen.
If you would like to be added to the group, just click on and request to be added. Usual caviats about minimum ages on Facebook and internet safety apply!
